Seeing Hex Codes Instead Of Check Mark Boxes In Bellsouth Email, why?

Have you checked those ‘mark boxes’ in your Bellsouth email? If you are not seeing boxes, but instead seeing a code like ‘e0’, ‘d0’ or ‘e0 55’, then you are facing some issues with your email account. Your email isn’t working properly, and it’s time that you figure out something to restore its functioning.

To resolve the problem of seeing code instead of boxes, here is what you can follow the steps that I’m going to mention here below. The missing icons that you are seeing in Bellsouth email interface are actually downloaded from the server. These codes are basically the characters that are displayed in hex code. To be able to permit pages to select their own fonts, here is what you are going to do:

Go to ‘Tools’ and then, ‘content’.

In ‘content’, you have to select ‘fonts and colors’, then ‘advanced’ in which, you will have to select ‘allow pages to choose their own specific fonts instead of my selections’ option.

Besides these settings, you need to check if ‘gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled preference on about: config page’ has been set to true. If you are not able to find out this, then what you can do is that you can double-click that particular line to toggle the value.

A number of problems in email service occur due to cache or cookies. You need to clear both cache and cookies, as this is the first line of troubleshooting. When you do so, you will be logged out of all the websites you are working on at that particular time. If you have no problem with this, then you can proceed with clearing cache and cookies.

Here I am assuming that you know how to clear cache and cookies, but in case, you are not aware of the process, then you can go to ‘History’ option in the menu bar of your web browser. There will be an option named ‘clear recent history’ under which, you can select the options you want to delete. You can select cache and cookies option from the list.

Now, try reloading the webpage and bypass the cache so that all the outdated and corrupt files are refreshed. To do so, you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Press and hold ‘Shift’ key on the keyboard and left click ‘reload’ button on the web browser.

Now, press ‘Ctrl + Shift + R’ at once if using Windows Linux. If using normal Windows OS, then just press ‘Ctrl + F5’.

If you are using a Mac computer, then press ‘command + Shift + R’ to refresh the webpage.

The problem is most likely to get fixed after following these steps, but if that doesn’t happen, then you will have to take help of Bellsouth email support providers. They will assist you with this problem.
